From the Department of Silly Controversies, Arizona Senator John McCain is still in a lather over the fact that President Barack Obama is riding around the U.S. countryside in a tour bus made partly in Canada. Now he’s getting insulting.
Obama is on the second day of a three-day road trip through Virginia and North Carolina to promote his American Jobs Act, but his GOP opponents are singing the Buy American blues.
Republicans see the trip as entirely political, a not entirely unjustified assessment, since Obama won both southern states in 2008 and faces a tough slog holding them in 2012.
