A flavor-enhancing hydrolyzed vegetable protein recalled Thursday due to salmonella contamination is among the ingredients.

I think it if were widely understood that many if not most ingredients added to processed foods are unhealthy or downright bad for human consumption, there would none of it found in our food products.

It would be great to see the FDA actually do what it was originally designed to do, and that is to make sure what we consume into our bodies is safe.
